ABOUT SO RECORDINGS

Launched in 2010, Silva Screen’s label imprint So Recordings is home to an eclectic selection of rock, folk and pop acts.

The debut release, Long Live The Duke & The King by folk & soul band The Duke & The King was an instant success, charting in the Top 10 Indie Charts.

Since then the label has continuously expanded with releases by the likes of American singer/songwriter Joshua Radin, who appeared on the soundtracks of numerous US TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs; Yorkshire four piece The Chevin who provided the title track to the Premiership Football Season 2013-2014 with their rock anthem Champion; and Nashville folk rockers The Apache Relay, who alongside various TV, film and trailer usages were synced on a major HSBC UK advertising campaign.

Other releases include albums by Broken Hands, Morning Parade, Only Rivals, Danny & the Champions of the World, All Mankind and Secret Company.

The current roster features Q and XFM Award nominated synth-pop duo Fenech-Soler, Brighton rockers Demob Happy, dubbed by NME as “rock giants in the making, alt-rockers Dinosaur Pile-Up whose album Nature Nurture was described by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe as “an album that could be one of the greatest albums ever in existence”, as well as Deaf Havana, who peaked at number 5 in the UK album charts with recent album All These Countless Nights.
